Two women among three commit suicide

LAHORE - Some three people including two women committed suicide over domestic issues and joblessness in separate incidents in the City on Wednesday.
Reportedly, Wazir Masih, 40, a resident of Yuhana Abad, ended his life by hanging himself with a ceiling fan over unemployment. Nishtar Colony police said that Wazir was facing financial constraints for the last couple of years.
On the day of incident, the police said, Wazir left his children and wife at the residence of his in-laws and returned to his home. He locked himself up in a room and hanged with the ceiling fan.
His wife and children came to known about the incident when they returned to their home in the evening the same day. The police reached the site and handed his body over to the heirs without autopsy.
In another incident, mother of a minor committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan over a family dispute near China Scheme.
Gujjar Pura police said that Muhammad Javed had contracted marriage with Sumera of Misri Shah a couple of years back. He later became father of a daughter. According to the police, the couple was not enjoying good relations for the last few months.
They had also scuffled over some family issues in the past, the police said and added that they again had exchanged hot words late night on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the police said, disappointed Sumera locked herself up in a room and ended her life by hanging herself with the ceiling fan.
The police rushed to the spot later handed her body over to the heirs without autopsy.
In Manawan police limits, body of a 25-year-old woman was recovered from the BRB canal. Police claimed that a resident of Rampura, Shakila Bibi, had some differences with her husband over family issues. On Wednesday she exchanged harsh words with her husband again and also scuffled over the issues. Shakila left her house and committed suicide by jumping into the BRB canal. She was mother of a baby. The police handed over her body to the heirs without autopsy.
